General FAQs

  • How Do I Know which Items are in Stock?

  • All items shown on our website are in stock. Our website will not allow you to purchase out of stock items. There will be no Add to Cart button for out-of-stock item. So feel free to buy whichever item you like.

    Please note in rare cases during busy season, items may be in stock while you are placing the order, but may get out of stock before your order reaches the warehouse for pickup. You will then be informed immediately and will have the option to exchange with another item or get a refund.

  • When Will I Receive my Order?

  • Most orders get shipped from our warehouse, within 24-48 hours during business days from the time the order is placed. Though we try our best to always ship within this time-frame in rare cases and in busy season like Halloween the processing and pick time could be a few days additional. To arrive at the expected date of delivery, you will need to add the shipping time based on the delivery option you select to the processing and pick time mentioned above.     You can also track your order on our website. Please click the button near the top of our website labeled, Track Order. From here you may check the status of an order, obtain tracking information, and view you shipping information. Instructions are provided to help you log in, including password hints, obtaining a new password, etc. You will be asked to enter your e-mail address and the order no. Then you will be able to see if your order has been sent to a warehouse for processing (picking) or, if your order has been shipped, shipment tracking number(s), and scheduled delivery dates. Your e-mail address is only used to identify your account, to notify you about current promotions and specials, and to send out updates on your pending orders.

  • If an Item is Out of Stock, When Will it Be Back In Stock?

  • Our goal is to have enough items on hand so there will never be an issue of us being out of stock on any certain item. But occasionally, we do run out of stock on items. This may be due to the manufacturer not sending us enough items or in the case of popular items, they just sell out very quickly and we do not have anymore in stock, at that time.

    When an item is out of stock, we are unable to take orders for that specific item and we are also unable to give a specific date on when that item will be available.

  • If I've Already Place My Order, But Haven't Received It Yet, How Can I Find Out When I Will Receive My Order?

  • Please click the link labeled, "Track Order". From here you may check the status of an order, obtain tracking information, and view your shipping information. Instructions are provided to help you log in, including password hints, obtaining a new password, etc. You will be asked to enter your e-mail address and the billing zip code from your order. Then you will be able to see if your order has been sent to a warehouse for processing (picking) or, if your order has been shipped, scheduled delivery dates and tracking numbers. Your e-mail address is only used to identify your account, to notify you about current promotions and specials, and to send out updates on your pending orders.

  • Can I Return My Order?

  • We surely wish that you are totally satisfied with your purchases at halloweencostumesale.com. But due to the nature of products we sell, and also to maintain our low cost policy, we have the following Return and Exchange Policy.
    All requests for returns/exchanges must be made within 48 hours of receiving the costume. You must obtain our authorization prior to returning the item. Any return received with missing items or without original packaging will not be credited.
    To initiate a return for Domestic/Canadian Orders:

      • Click on the link labeled "Click here to obtain Return Authorization".
      • Please log in to your account on our website.
      • Choose the order number that applies to the item you wish to return.
      • Click on the corresponding "Return" link next to the item that you wish to return.
      • Select the reason for the return from the drop down box.
      • Click the "Submit" button.
      • This will lead you to the final page of return; note that we don't issue any Confirmation number. Please return the costume to the address on the final page. Don't forget to include the order number inside the package.
      • All item(s) must be returned via a traceable method with delivery confirmation to assure we receive your package.
      • Any orders returned with out any means of tracking or delivery confirmation will be considered an unauthorized return and we are not responsible for refunding the order if we cannot verify receipt of the return.

    Returns are generally processed within a week of receiving the product back. During Halloween season (October and November) this process may take up to 4 weeks.
    The following items are ONLY returnable if they are in their unopened, original packaging. Items must not have been worn, used or altered in any way.

      • Undergarments
      • Socks and stockings
      • Shoes & Boots (Does not apply to shoe covers, boot tops, or costume shoes designed for indoor use only or one time wear.) Remember, even Cinderella had to try on her shoes! Please make sure that your shoes fit and are comfortable before you use them. Shoes that show obvious wear or are missing the original packaging are not returnable.
      • Eye lashes
      • Wigs, beards, facial hair or any other artificial hair
        Must be returned in the unopened and sealed package; products in zip-lock bag style packaging or any bag/box that is not factory sealed is NOT returnable.
      • Any item that has been worn, used or altered

    If you need a different size or costume, you must place a new order for the needed replacement item(s) and return the item(s) you have already received. This is because the desired item maybe out of stock by the time we receive your return and to ensure the fastest delivery of your replacement item(s). All appropriate policies apply to all returned items. Refunds are for the cost of the merchandise only, not including shipping and handling.
    If you choose to call/email us about your return, please provide the following information:

      • Your e-mail address
      • Your order number
      • A brief description of the problem
    Any item damage or shortage, if applicable

HOW TO SHOP FAQ'S
  • How Do I Search for a Costume?

  • There are three ways in which you may find a costume.

    1. If you aren't exactly sure what you want and would prefer to browse, you may click on the buttons across the left of the page for the categories and click on a category in that list to see the items in the specific category.
    2. If you already know what you are looking for and would like to quickly see specific products, just type the item name, item number, or a descriptive keyword into the search box; located towards the top left corner of every page. Click on the "Search" button to begin the search. You will then see a page(s) listing products that match the word(s) you are searching for. You can sort your matches by Name (alphabetical by product title), Price, and Popularity (most popular products display first; this is the default sort when searching).

    Click on the product name or image to see additional product details and options, such as available sizes and colors. You may click on the "Add To Cart" button to immediately add the item to your cart. You are not charged for items in your cart until you check out and you always have the option to remove items before you complete your purchase.

  • How Can I Find Out More About A Costume?

  • If you find an item that you are interested in and would like to know more about that item, you can click on the item name or the picture of the item itself and that will take you to a Product Detail Page. In the Product Detail Page, you will be presented with additional information about the specific item:
    • Larger image of the item (in most cases)
    • Price information (including the regular price, our price and how much you save)
    • Shipping availability
    • Quantity (your choice)
    • Size and color options (if applicable)
    • A brief description of the item(s) and what's included
    • Related accessories and items (click on the item to view its Product Detail Page)

    You also have the ability to view a general sizing chart and e-mail information about the item to a friend.
    PLEASE NOTE: Costume styles are subject to change without notice, due to the manufacturer's production. These changes, no matter how slight, are beyond our control. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. The manufacturers do not always notify us of these variations. We will reflect any changes to the costumes in the website descriptions and images as soon as we become aware of them. Thank you for your understanding with this issue.

  • How Do I Know if an Item is In Stock?

  • HalloweenCostumeSale.com uses state of the art technology to link our website to our inventory systems in real time, here we don't display images of costumes that are out of stock, so if the costume is in the website its in stock and ready to be shipped!

  • How Do I Use The Shopping Cart?

  • Whenever you add a product to your cart, a shopping cart page listing the items (and quantity of each item) in your order, option/size, item prices, and estimated total is displayed (you can also view your cart at any time by clicking on the "Shopping Cart" button at the top of each page in the upper right hand side. At this point you can adjust the quantities of any item by entering a new quantity in the "Qty" box and then pressing the "recalculate" button. To delete an item from your order, click the checkbox in the "X" column and then click the "remove" button. If you have finished shopping, you can enter your state of shipping and then your preferred shipping option. If you wish to continue shopping, you may select "Back to Shopping" and you will be returned to the item(s) you were last viewing.

  • Can I Get A Catalog?

  • Catalogs are not available at this time, we apologize for any inconvenience.

  • When Do I Make Payment?

  • Full payment is due at the time you place your order. If you have any problems with charges on your credit card from HalloweenCostumeSale.com please contact Customer Care. If you have problems with your credit card, please contact the bank or Credit Card Company directly.

  • How Do I Know My Purchase Is Confirmed?

  • After clicking on the "Submit" button, you will be taken to a screen verifying your purchase and giving you your order number. You will also receive an e-mail (at the e-mail address you entered during the checkout process) containing the following information:

    • Order number: If you wish to contact us, please refer to this number so that we can provide you the fastest service.
    • Shipping Information: The shipping address you provided us with.

  • How Do I Make Changes to or Cancel My Order?

  • Our goal is to ship orders as soon as possible so we have set up our system to automatically process your order as quickly as possible. For that reason, we CANNOT make changes to or cancel your order after it has been submitted on our website. Please double-check all of your address information, the products you ordered, and the shipping method you have selected prior to completing your order. If an error is made, we need you to receive the order and return it (if the return policy allows) for a refund. We are unable to refund your cost of shipping and handling if you decide that you do not want an order after it has been sent to the warehouse for processing. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

  • Can I Make A Purchase for Someone Else?

  • Yes, you may purchase an item from our website and have it shipped to another address that is different from the billing address. When shipping to a different address, please remember not to use a PO Box for the address since we may ship UPS and they cannot deliver to a PO Box and shipment of your order will be delayed.

  • How Do I Check Pricing and Availability?

  • Our website displays the most current information available to our staff.

    *This does not apply to single items over $500 such as mascot costumes and props. No other coupons or promotions may be used with this offer. All Special Order items require that payment must be received before the order can be placed.

  • If I Place My Order Today, When Will I Receive It?

  • Most orders will ship within 1 business day from the time the order is placed. In some rare instances, it may take up to 3 business days (business days are weekdays, Monday-Friday, excluding Saturday, Sunday and holidays) for processing AFTER you place your order BEFORE it will ship. After processing time, shipping time will be based on the delivery option you selected. If you are unsure of which shipping method to select, click here for complete Shipping Information. Ship times vary and do not have a guaranteed delivery date. For example, an order for ground shipping will take 6-8 working days (excluding processing time) to get to you. If you need your order in less than 2 days, please contact customer care to see if it's possible for us to deliver your order in time.

  • How Do I Receive My Order?

  • The carrier we choose to ship your order is based on the shipping option you select and your physical address. We make every effort to get your order to you as quickly and efficiently as possible.

  • Where Will HalloweenCostumeSale.com Ship My Order?

  • We will ship your order to the Shipping Address that you provide. Please do not list a Post Office Box (PO Box) as UPS cannot deliver to a PO Box and shipment of your order will be delayed. We currently ship to the United States, US Territories, US Military bases (US & Abroad), and Canada.

  • How Are Shipping and Handling Charges Determined?

  • On occasion HalloweenCostumeSale.com must ship your order from different warehouses. If this is the case you should have received an email indicating the split shipment.
